This is an overview of my process and framework for how you can unlock your main quest in life, finding true purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. Essentially, it's a manual on how to level up in life by treating it like a game.
I was inspired to create this because I felt like I kept getting things that society told me I was supposed to want: an Ivy League degree, a six-figure tech job, etc., and yet I still felt pretty empty, existentially anxious, veering between boredom and despair, and as if I was in the loading screen of life. I wasn't satisfied, and I couldn't figure out why.
Once I embarked on my own transformational journey, I developed the ability to listen to myself and focus on what actually mattered to me in my career—service, impact, meaning. That, along with my own healing, changed my life.
I've navigated through high achievements only to find them lacking in true satisfaction. This led me down a path of self-discovery, akin to navigating a complex RPG, where I learned crucial lessons on personal growth and the importance of pursuing a life that is not just successful, but also deeply fulfilling.
I believe the point of life is to enjoy it. And often, discussions about finding purpose feel overly serious and like more work. That's why I like to weave in video game concepts, like the idea of discovering your main quest, to make this whole process fun. I also love classic RPGs like Baldur’s Gate, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, and Knights of the Old Republic, so looking at things from that perspective makes it fun for me.
Whether you've felt lost or unfulfilled, despite outward success, or you're simply craving a more impactful existence, this guide is a gift to you.
The process of finding purpose is relatively simple, and it's my hope that by breaking it down into clarity, catalyzing, and creation, you'll find the confidence to follow through. But if you want support, that's why I offer that through my 1-on-1 mentorship program as well as my group coaching program, The Guild.
Ultimately, unlocking your main quest isn't just about career transformation; it’s about enhancing every facet of your life, making every hour count towards something that truly matters. It’s about finding ikigai—a Japanese concept that represents the union of your passion, talent, what the world needs, and what you can make money doing. This isn’t about bringing more work-life balance into your life; it's about discovering your life's work—I believe that only by being aligned with that can you truly feel satisfied.
Godspeed, adventurer,
